Lisa Tannehill, LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT #126325

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, Lisa has been practicing for the past 8 years in various settings from child and family clinics, homeless shelters, high schools, churches, and private practice with specialized training in Restoration Therapy, EMDR, and intersubjective psychoanalysis as focal points. She has experience working with a diverse population of clients with respect to presenting concerns, gender, age, religious backgrounds, and race/ethnicity.

Her current focus in clinical work is high achieving professionals that are struggling in either their relationship with themselves and/or others resulting in anxiety, depression or unwanted coping behaviors, couples that feel stuck in their relationship, young adults navigating life transitions, and people who grew up in messy family systems with trauma or abuse and are looking to heal in order to experience more joy and connection in life.

Because of growing up in a bi-racial first generation immigrant family, Lisa has a strong ability to sit in the tension of navigating cultural differences while holding respect and empathy for different perspectives. She also is a person of faith and enjoys incorporating spirituality for clients that align with that particular lense.

Her style as a therapist is highly relational, intuitive, empathetic, analytical, with little moments of humor and warmth.
